FISHERY RULES - which are for the PROTECTION and WELFARE of ALL fish regardless of species:

ONLY 3 carp rods per person, which must be attended at all times. A float rod for silver fish is allowed for use during the day.
Barbed hooks ONLY – size 4 or 6 fish best.
NO long shank (or similar), bent or barbless hooks.
NO braid allowed apart for use on marker/spod rods.
NO lead core or leaders of any description.
NO fine braid hooklinks, eg Merlin etc. Coated braid only, ie Korda Hybrid, Snakebite etc. NO peeling back.
Minimum of 15lb breaking strain line.  Reels of a suitable size to be used and must be fully spooled.
NO death or fixed rigs allowed.
A minimum of 26 inch rig tubing is to be used AT ALL TIMES.

NO trout or high oil pellets.
NO nuts or particles of any description are to be used.
NO shelf life bait – Pop-ups are fine.
NO plastic baits.

Landing Nets MUST be 42inch minimum and be dipped on arrival.
ALWAYS break and roll down the arms of your landing net , making sure that the fish’ pecs are pointing towards the rear of the body.
Once on the swim, fish are to be moved ONLY in a weigh sling or unhooking mat which MUST be wet BEFORE and DURING use - watering cans are provided for this purpose.
NEVER stand up whilst holding a fish nor carry to another swim.
Keep fish wet and return to the lake ASAP – be extra vigilant on hot days.
To avoid cross-contamination – only the unhooking mats and weighslings provided must be used.
NO sacking of fish UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES – sacks are NOT allowed on the lake.
ALL anglers must be in possession of Klinik (or similar) which is to be used on ALL hook marks.

Bait Boats are allowed on single party bookings but NOT on mixed parties.
Respect the other anglers by keeping mobile phone ring tones and radio volumes down.
Anyone who, in the Bailiff’s opinion, is incapable of fishing due to excess alcohol or drugs will have their rods reeled in.
No children under the age of 12. Between the ages of 12 and 16 only allowed if accompanied by a family member.

The electricity on the swims is to be used ONLY for charging mobile phones, bait boats, DVD players etc. NO electric heaters or kettles to be used for safety reasons.
